Missionaries Connected to Baring Cross
Prayer Coordinator /
Small Group Ministry
I was “adopted” into the Baring Cross family in early 1994 when I was given the privilege of working as part-time single adult minister. While I served in that capacity for only about 18 months before being called to international missions, I have always considered Baring Cross to be my home church.
Following His call, I moved to Texas to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating in 1998. I was appointed to IMB in November of 2008 and my dog Shadow and I arrived in Kiev, Ukraine in March, 1999. After full-time language study I moved to Odessa, Ukraine in the summer of 2000 to begin work in ministry to women. In the fall of 2003, the Lord called me to Kharkov to work in church planting alongside our IMB team and evangelical Ukrainian believers. For the past 6 years I have worked as our team’s prayer coordinator, as well as leading recovery groups, women’s Bible studies, and ESL groups. My Desire: The desire of my heart is to be an instrument the Lord uses to see Ukrainian women and men set free from chemical and emotional dependencies to serve the Lord. With prayer as a foundation, we hope to work through support/recovery groups, one-on-one discipleship, and small group Bible studies to see those once in bondage experience freedom in and through Christ, to be a vital part of a church planting movement in the Kharkov oblast (state).
Cliff Case was a member of Baring Cross from about 4th grade on until he went to Ouachita. In 11th grade when he surrendered to the ministry, Baring Cross confirmed his call by licensing him to the ministry. (He still has the certificate in his keepsakes.) Cliff and Cinthy were also married in Baring Cross’ sanctuary on May 26th, 1984. Baring Cross was one of the most influential forces in Cliff's life. Especially in the understanding of his call to missions. Through an excellent Mission’s program (RA’s, GA’s & youth and church mission’s trips) God formed his call to missions. He cannot name all the members who influenced him, but there are literally hundreds. He is eternally grateful.
They were appointed 18+ years ago to serve in Rocha, Uruguay. They spent 14 years there planting churches in the department (state) of Rocha. After 14 years Cinthy was asked to consider taking a job in Santiago in the financial office for the South American Region. She did so. Cinthy works 4 to 5 days a week in the America’s Finance center dealing with administrative/finance issues within several countries. Cliff continues using sports to plant churches and also works as the volunteer coordinator for the Central Chile Team. That area encompasses not only Santiago, but north (about an hour) to the Los Andes area, and west over to Viña/Valpo area.
